About Jillian Bonahoom Macedonia
Jillian Bonahoom Macedonia is a painter and teacher living and working in Maryland. Originally from Detroit, MI, Jillian received her BFA from College for Creative Studies and her Masters from American University, D.C. Since 2009, Jillian has been a repeating resident of La Macina di San Cresci, an artist residency in Greve in Chianti, Italy. Her work from these residencies aim to capture the sentiment and diversity of culture, and the beauty of both landscape and human form.
Jillian is currently exploring water imagery as a way to abstract and distort landscape and the human form. An avid swimmer, she experiments with imagery both on the surface and underneath.
